Football Season is here!!!

This weekend we went to Hoover, Alabama to watch South Panola play! It didn't quite turn out like we'd hoped!

4 Months

I think it is fair to say that lately I'm a horrible blogger!
4 months have breezed by! Our sweet little man was 15 lbs 10 oz at his last doctor visit! I cannot tell you how tired I am of hearing what a big boy he is! He is a healthy, beautiful baby that we are blessed to hold in our arms. I don't care if he's 25 lbs already! :)

Miles is doing all the things a 4 month old should do... He is eating solid food for dinner, so far he's tried peas, sweet potatos, green beans, and squash. He loves solid food, in fact you can't feed him fast enough. It's a big mess at dinner time. Miles isn't a fan of tummy time... he can go from his back to his stomach, but he's not quite mastered doing it the other way around. I'm pretty sure we're going to have to teach our baby about strangers soon... he will let anyone hold him. He doesn't cry when mommy and daddy are out of his sight. I will tell you this, he LOVES his daddy. You'd think I'd be a little jealous, but actually.. I'm really proud. I'm very blessed to have a husband who gets up with our baby at night so I can sleep, and rushes home from work to pick him up for Gigi's just so he can spend time with him. When Miles hears Brent talking he turns his whole head in search for the man behind the voice :) it's so sweet.

What else... Miles entertains himself now. He can lay on his activity mat and play with those toys, talk to his hands, or watch TV for a good bit without needing Brent or I sitting right there the whole time. He's so cute that it's hard to just leave him... needless to say housekeeping is down the drain, and I could care less! As long as we have underwear, clean bibs, and towels... I'm good!!!! Those few hours we get with him between work and bedtime are so precious, and so short! I'm not wasting them doing things that can wait!

God is at work!

At the beginning of this summer, God gave a vision to a group of young people at FCA leadership camp! Of course this particular group of young people are near and dear to my heart, as they were in 7th grade when Brent and I started working with the youth group! God gave them the vision to raise enough money to put a bible in the hands of every student, staff, faculty, and administrator at South Panola High School. They decided they wanted to do a nice leather covered bible that would cost approximately $13.00 each and they would need around 1300... A LOT of MONEY! Oh, and did I mention that they wanted to have bibles ready to be passed out on the first day of school. Not very much time to raise money! God says with faith the size of a mustard seed you can move mountains! Well, those kids moved a mountain this summer. They raised enough money to give everyone at South Panola High School, North Delta Private School, and North Panola High School a bible! The bibles went out yesterday at South Panola and with each bible distributed a gospel presentation was made. So it wasn't a mass distribution. Does it give you chills? Yesterday, 1300 people heard the gospel... That Jesus loves them and went to bat for them on the cross, that we all mess up and fall short of the glory of God, but our sins are forgiven when we repent and believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour! I thank God for the seeds that were planted through this vision, and through these young people's obedience to his calling! Pray for the harvest, and pray for the students who are involved.. they are going to be held to a high standard this year. Pray that God will help them to walk worthy and upright all year long!
